Application Design & Development
One of the most successful trends on the social Web is the design and development of Interactive Applications. Applications allow the user to interact with the application tool in a way that is useful, entertaining or and/or viral in nature. The use of applications allows Internet users--a vast population of potential clients and consumers--to be more than passive viewers of information on the Internet. Applications can be developed for personal or commercial use, or be integrated into popular social network websites such as Facebook or MySpace. We can also develop applications for iGoogle.
The Pearse Street team wakes up in the morning with an inherent will and drive to push the envelope with better designs and never before seen developments. The collaboration of our design and development team results in a highly interactive and visually pleasing user experience. If you've seen it on web we can do it. If it's an original web concept that has never been done we'll roll up our sleeves to custom design & develop it.

Concept Consultation
Prior to the construction of an interactive application, it is strongly recommended that you consult with your project manager to identify your goals and a specification list. During this time, we will create a site plan, brainstorm and research site features, discuss branding options, and perform preliminary market research. When all specifications are finalized, a complete proposal will be prepared for your review prior to commencement.

Application Design FAQ
- How does your design process work?
While many of our clients have established branding in place, many do not. If they do, we will work with the client to make their application, social network, profile page, website or microsite as consistent with their existing branding as they desire. If we are starting with a clean slate, we start by asking our clients a series of identity, style and layout questions to get a feeling for what they envision. From there, we begin creating logo concepts and/or layout mockups for client review. The feedback we receive is applied to revisions and various iterations of the design. When the final design is approved, it is applied to the functionality of the website.
- How do you approach Information Architecture and User Interface Design?
Having launched hundreds of websites, our team recognizes the importance of intuitive user interface design, especially when it comes to viral applications. An intelligent interface design will ensure that your viewers can orient themselves throughout the app's unique features easily, encouraging "stickiness", return users and increased monetization opportunities for you. Your application will be designed from wireframes to fully functional interactive pages with both your brand consistency and user experience in mind.
- What other types of graphic design support can your team provide?
In addition to logo and layout design, our designers are skilled in product design, print media, motion graphics and animation, and video editing. Essentially if it requires Photoshop, Illustrator, or AfterEffects to do it, we can do it! Do you have a need that is not listed here? Just contact to us to discuss if it's within our team's skill set.
- Why should I choose you over other companies?
Our team is small enough that you will receive very personalized attention from our team, and yet we are large enough to be able to expertly address the many facets of your project, to include exceptional graphics, cutting-edge programming techniques, viral marketing campaigns, and professional consulting from the people who have learned first-hand the most effective ways to grow a business on the Internet.
As you may already know, Pearse Street also has a very competitive portfolio. We have served over 200 clients over the past four years including several household names (Interscope Records, Marie Claire, Simon & Schuster, Remington College, US Soccer Federation and more), and we have a long list of testimonials from satisfied clients who have enjoyed working with our team and are profiting from the results. Our licensing agreement is flexibly designed for entrepreneurs and companies who want to grow and monetize from their venture.
- Will you outsource any part of my project?
While several web development companies rely on economically-priced overseas development teams or freelance designers, we believe that outsourcing compromises the quality and continuity of the end product. By keeping your design work in-house, we can ensure that your project details are kept private and maintenance can be addressed at the same time users are trafficking your site, without any inconvenient time delays.
Web 2.0 Application Development
What is Web 2.0? According to wikipedia, Web 2.0 is...
a term describing the trend in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to enhance creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users. These concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities and hosted services, such as social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies. The term became notable after the first O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004. Although the term suggests a new version of the World Wide Web, it does not refer to an update to any technical specifications, but to changes in the ways software developers and end-users use the Web. (wikipedia)
Since its inception in 2004, "Web 2.0" has quickly become one of the Internet's most popular buzz words, due in large part to the drastic increase in popularity and use of social networking sites, such as MySpace and Facebook, which have revolutionized the way Internet users interact online. Consequently, it has changed the way businesses market on the Internet to reach those users.
The Pearse Street develops applications that cater to the Web 2.0 philosophy, with the intent to bring Internet users and potential clients and consumers to your product through innovative application creations.
